The town is reached by car from Stockholm in around three hours. The industrial roots of the town go back to the 17th century, when the works were first started up.
The site in Hällefors employs around 500 people and produce hot rolled, peeled, ground and drawn bar, surface-removed wire and pre-components from bars.
Hällefors mainly receives its raw material from Ovako Hofors. Main customer segments include ball bearing producers as well as specific niche markets in the automotive industries such as diesel injectors and general engineering industries.
