Our hot-rolled bars are processed further into different kinds of cold-worked or hard chromed plated bright bar products.
In Ovako Hällefors our bar products are further processed into drawn bars, peeled bars and ground bars. In Ovako Hallstahammar, Ovako Mora, Ovako Twente, Ovako Redon and Ovako Molinella; our bars and tubes are processed into hard chromed tubes and bars.

Our ground bars are characterised by good straightness and roundness as well as a fine surface. Our ground bars are available in diameters from 12-100 mm in all steel grades. |

Based on quality steel and high-precision manufacturing, peeled bars are among Ovako’s high-end products. Peeled bars are particularly suited for plastic forming and machining. |

Our drawn bar products are made from hot-rolled bar. Most of them are manufactured according to customer specifications. Our drawn standard bar is the M-treated Imatra 550 grade.

Cromax® is the collective brand name for Ovako’s programme of hard-chrome plated bars and tubes. The principal application area is as piston rods for hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders. |

NiKrom® is the collective brand name for Ovako's programme of nickel-chrome plated bars and tubes. In the NiKrom process, steel bars or tubes are first coated with a layer of corrosion-resistant nickel followed by an outer layer of hard chrome.

To meet the increased strenght requiredments of the hydraulic industry, Ovako has developed the product family called Ovahyd. Ovahyd is ideally suited for highly stressed hydraulic components, cylinders and piston rods. |
