Jorma Eloranta newly appointed board member of leading European special steel company Ovako AB.
Jorma Eloranta has extensive experience from senior positions in globally prominent companies. His previous positions include President and CEO of engineering group Metso, shipbuilding group Kvaerner Masa-Yards and defence group Patri Industries, and Executive Vice President of consulting and engineering firm Jaako Pöyry Group. Mr Eloranta is currently active on the boards of several companies, including as vice-chairman of Neste Oil, board member of Uponor Corporation, chairman of ZenRobotics OY and chariman of the supervisory board of Gasum Oy and Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company.

With the appointment of Mr Eloranta, the number of Ovako board members will be increased to six AGM-elected members and three employee representatives. Following the appointment the board will be composed of Finn Johnsson (chairman), Martin Ivert, Jorma Eloranta, Nick Ghoussaini, Magnus Lindquist, Jyrki Korhonen, Simon Andberg (deputy member) and three employee representatives.
Jorma Eloranta was elected to Ovako’s board of directors at an extraordinary general meeting held on 5 September 2011.
