Production flow Hofors Hällefors becomes one business unit

Ovako has decided that the production flow Hofors Hällefors, which today is divided in two business units, will become one business unit, as of April 1, 2022. The purpose of the merger is to have a simplified and even more efficient organizational structure. This will increase customer value through a strengthened commercial organization and business offering. 

The new Business Unit Hofors Hellefors, will have a joint management team with members from both sites and the Business Unit President will be Rickard Qvarfort, current President of Business Unit Hofors.

“We see this merger as a natural step since the two business units already have a lot in common such as one metallurgy, one product offering and multiple shared customers. In fact, ninety percent of what is sold in Hällefors today is produced in Hofors and seventy percent of the steel produced in Hofors is sold through Hällefors”, say Marcus Hedblom president and CEO of Ovako.
