Updated version of RBA and GeSI Conflict Minerals Reporting Template

Ovako is committed to sourcing responsibly and considers mining activities that fuel conflict as unacceptable. Ovako’s efforts related to conflict minerals are aligned to the work of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI). The RBS’s and GeSI’s work includes the Conflict-Free Smelter Program and the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT).

In accordance with the Non-Conflict Minerals Act, By U.S. law H. R. 4173, section 1502, scrap and alloying elements purchased from our suppliers are neither produced from a conflict mineral as tin, tantalum, tungsten or gold (3TG), nor has its origin from a conflict region. By conflict region, Ovako is referring to Democratic Republic of Congo or an adjoining country as identified in the Dodd Frank Conflict Mineral Legislation. If any change in sourcing of alloying elements for our products occurs, it will be communicated with our customers.

Please be advised that an updated version of the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template, Revision 5.11, has been completed and can be found below.
